Rosemary Beach
Rosemary Beach is a planned town on Scenic Highway 30A in Walton County, founded in 1995 and designed by Duany Plater-Zyberk, the firm behind nearby Seaside and Alys Beach. Closely spaced homes, carriage houses and townhomes line narrow streets and walkways that lead to the beach, with a town center of shops, restaurants and green space. The architecture draws on the West Indies, New Orleans, Charleston and St. Augustine, and the community has its own design standards and owners association. If you plan to rent the home, review the association's rules and rental requirements, and check dues, the flood zone and wind insurance before making an offer.
